Rock Werchter is doing great! The line-up is looking fantastic, festival tickets are being sold like hot cakes. The 69.000 available 4-day festival tickets are sold out. Day tickets, 11.000 for each festival day, are no longer available for Friday July 3rd and Saturday July 4th. This does, however, not mean that Rock Werchter 2009 is sold out already! Day tickets are still available for Thursday July 2nd and Sunday July 5th. But also these ticket supplies are shrinking by the minute. Camp-site tickets and beverage tickets are still on sale through the known channels.
On www.proximusgoformusic.be and www.teleticketservice.com waiting lists have been made active for Saturday tickets and 4-day festival tickets. It is always useful to register on the waiting list. Experience teaches us that a number of reservations always remain unpaid. The tickets that thus become available are then according to the ‘first-come, first-served’ principle allocated to the people who are registered on the waiting list.
Important: say no to the secondary ticket market!
A number of fraudulent sites offer tickets for Rock Werchter. They buy tickets on the primary market to sell these at extortionate prices on the secondary market. Do not buy these tickets, as the tickets that have been bought on the secondary market do not guarantee validity. Thanks to technological progress, usurious trade in tickets is being dealt with more intensively. All tickets have a bar code. At the festival entrance, all tickets will be scanned. Tickets of which is found that they are put for sale again, will be put on the blacklist and will no longer grant access to the festival.

The line-up for this year’s Rock Werchter has been completed. New in the line-up are Metro Station, from the US and rising star in the world of pop, and five outstanding Belgian performers, namely Arsenal (the most eclectic one), Milk Inc (the best guarantee for a great party), Triggerfinger (the loudest rockers), Lady Linn & Her Magnificent Seven (the most soulful one) and Jasper Erkens (the youngest big talent).
Flaming Lips are traveling back to the United States on July 2nd, which cancels their planned performance at Werchter on July 5th.
